The Allah controversy continues..

“Allah is only for Muslims, that was my stand” – Harun

(The Kuala Lumpur Post) - Pas Dewan Ulama chief  Datuk Harun Taib says Vatican City ambassador to Malaysia Archbishop Joseph Marino has no business to speak on matters which may affect the sensitivity of Muslims.”Saying Marino should be respectful over matters relating to Islam in this country, Harun added:“He should understand that this is a Muslim country. This is a Muslim country, not a European or Christian country. His remarks are uncalled for.” Harun said this to The Mole on Friday when asked to comment on remarks made by Marino in a news report on Thursday where he applauded the stand by the Christian Federation of Malaysia in using “Allah” in the Bible to refer to God.

Umno-backed Malay-rights group Perkasa and Muslim rights group Jati had demanded that the Najib administration kick out the Vatican’s envoy Archbishop Joseph Marino if the latter does not withdraw his support for the local church’s campaign to use the word Allah to describe God. They also demanded that he issue a public apology within seven days.

And all the bishop said was ...
"In terms of how they presented the arguments in favour, it seems to be quite logical and acceptable,”.
He never implied open support.!

if he wasn't a priest , it will be taken as statement from a rational minded wise person, and also what many in the country think as well , on both sides of the religious divide , except many are afraid to voice it out worried about getting hung out to dry...(he is a catholic priest, for goodness sake , not a foreign diplomat here to promote bilateral trade )

Besides saying the local churches presenting “logical and acceptable” argument he also stated that the ongoing appeal was an “internal matter” when asked to comment further on the dispute. That's inferring
in effect he didn't wish to get involved in a domestic quarrel but just airing his views as a individual in his personal capacity as a learned clergy.

Seems like neutral diplomatic double speak. Yet no one points this out,b4 this madness gets out of hand and the cycle keeps repeating itself on a unending slug fest.Christian bashing n punch back blow for blow.

My say...
Most people believe that everyone has a degree of wisdom, innate or spiritual wisdom, some have a lot of it, some a little, some almost none .but nonetheless everyone also believes that no matter how much we have, we can always use more of it…

In religion it is an absolute , either you are wise or you are foolish, time and again we come across descriptions saying the wise person did this or said that and the foolish person did or remarked so and so.

More simply, either you are wise or you are not..

In the religious sense , using wisdom is an imperative command from God , it is not an option but a requirement..

And judging from the responses to this Allah issue . Is it really beyond solution or definitive depiction ? Is wisdom or foolishness being applied in the response to this highly sensitive issue that can rip apart the fabric of our close- knit society?

Never has there been a more dire need of wisdom to ensure that religious bigotry and racial strife will not be played up to intense xenophohic levels .

Church group under probe for ‘Allah’ Facebook post

More than 60 per cent of the country’s Christians, believed to number just under 2.8 million, are Malay-speaking Bumiputeras from Sabah and Sarawak. – Picture by Choo Choy MayMore than 60 per cent of the country’s Christians, believed to number just under 2.8 million, are Malay-speaking Bumiputeras from Sabah and Sarawak.
July 3 — An evangelical church group is now being investigated for posting a Facebook message urging Christians to pray for the blessings of “Allah”, a word still in the center of a tug-of-war battle that has been threatening religious harmony in multiracial Malaysia.
Selangor PAS commissioner Dr Abd Rani Osman confirmed with The Malay Mail Online yesterday that the Selangor Islamic Religious Department (JAIS) is investigating the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship of Malaysia (NECF), despite the state government’s earlier attempt at intervention.

Vatican backs Christian Malaysians’ right to ‘Allah’ as logical -
PETALING JAYA, July 11 — The Vatican expressed support today for the right of Christian Malaysians to use “Allah” to call their god, but said that the ongoing row with Muslims here was a dispute between the local Catholic Church and the government.
In his first media interview here, the Vatican’s first envoy to Malaysia, Archbishop Joseph Marino (picture), observed that the “Allah” storm that has been raging here for the past five years was unique to this Southeast Asian nation due to the widespread use of the Malay language, the lingua franca of Malaysia’s Bumiputera Christians.
He indicated that the local churches have presented a “logical and acceptable” argument to counter the allegations by some hardline Muslims here that “Allah”, a word of Middle Eastern origin, was exclusive to Islam.
“But the document that they produce seems to be very well-presented in terms of explaining why Christians use this word,” the apostolic nuncio said, referring to the Christian Federation of Malaysia’s (CFM) fact sheet on the “Allah” released a couple of months ago.
But Marino carefully pointed out that the ongoing appeal by the Home Ministry to reverse a 2009 High Court judgment in favour of the Catholic Church was an “internal matter” when asked to comment further on the dispute.

Here is a brief view to ponder on why  ALLAH is not an exclusive word for malay/muslims to refer to God.

Hence is there only one Rabb or many Rabbs? And if there were only one Rabb then the Christians would share the Rabb of the Muslims. And since we have only one Rabb and we all share the same Rabb and this Rabb is called Allah then the Rabb of the Christians is also called Allah.

How will the court rule regarding the ‘Allah’ word issue? I really don’t know but one thing I do know is that it can never be resolved. And it can never be resolved because we are using man-made laws to try to resolve what many perceive as God’s laws. And the ‘Father Lord’ and ‘Mother Justice’ are in conflict about the meaning of justice.
From: http://www.malaysia-today.net-resolving-an-unresolvable-issue
..................................................................................................................................................................................

 My say:

Rabb is also  an Arabic word meaning Lord, Sustainer, Cherisher, Master, which in Islamic context refers to Allah.- In the Qur'an Rabb is one of the usual Names of God . Yet the literal meaning of the word is Sustainer and Master, and if in that sense, a man is the "rabb" of his house. Notice also how similar sounding it is to the hebrew RABBI which may have same etymology.

The dispute between Christianity and Islam lies in the doctrine of the Trinity,- Father , Son and Holy Spirit as one Godhead and the resurrection- .that Islam counters never happpened- but only acknowledges Jesus as a prophet . Muslim scholars will vehemently brush the doctrine of christian beliefs and teachings aside , no such thing as the Son of God or Holy spirit . Despite that the Arabic terms for the holy Trinity are Allah al-ab meaning God the Father, Allah al-ibn mean God the Son, and Allah al-ru? al-quds, meaning God the Holy Spirit and their term for Jesus is usually Yasu not the muslim reference” ISA”..

Arabic-speakers of all Abrahamic faiths, including Christians and Jews, have been using the word “Allah” to mean “God” Christian Arabs of today have no other word for “God” than “Allah” and have been using without protestation even in that volatile religious region. Also the Arabic-descended Maltese language of Malta, population almost entirely Roman Catholic, uses Alla for “God”.
So , for Malaysia to claim exclusivity for the term “ALLAH” to be used only in the Islamic context, dare I say, seems a bit arrogant if not Xeno phobic or Xeno manic..(if there is such a word).

Was at  church that had  invited a guest pastor who has been servicing the Indonesian Christians for close to a decade , and when he prayed for the congregation, he chosed to pray in Bahasa Indonesia and whenever invoking the Almighty’s name, ALLAH was used, not intentional but second nature to him .
Hence ,with respect, the Malaysian Malays are in default Muslims, but my question will be , is it possible for a race or language to claim exclusive ownership to a word in reference to the Almighty.?
We sorely need applied wisdom in the delicate handling of this issue that can only be resolved if there is a genuine attempt for an interfaith dialogue among the religious authorities of all faiths.
But so far, impression is that there is stubborn resistance to knowledge about the issue among the faithful , adhering religiously to teachings and be easily outraged at a perceived challenge to their faith - selectively .hearing only what they want to hear that can rile up their passions in defence..

Resolution can only come via understanding which no one seems to be eager to promote - anxious in jeopardising own self vested interest or incurring the wrath of many.!

Political Islam

Many Muslims resent it if we call Islam ‘political Islam’ and if we say that Islam spread at the point of the sword. They consider this as negative publicity and will say that this is western propaganda meant to smear or disparage Islam. However, it is time that Muslims stop being defensive and apologetic and accept Islam for what it is: a political force.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
Now, when we talk about ‘a clash of opposing ideologies’ in these many Muslim countries, you may be wondering whether we are talking about political ideology or religious ideology. And this is where not only the non-Muslims but also the Muslims themselves do not comprehend the ‘real’ Islam.
There is no such thing as a separate political and religious ideology. There is no separation of church and state in Islam. Islam is not a religion. It is a political structure, as what Anwar Ibrahim is fond of saying: Islam is anadeen or way of life.
Hence, while the Muslim population of Malaysia may be majority Muslim, it is still not large enough for Islam to dominate Malaysian politics. So the Muslim politicians need to make some compromises. Now, if Malaysia was 90% Muslim, you will see something else emerge and all these noble western ideals would be discarded in favour of Islamisation.

I hope now the non-Muslims as well as the Muslims themselves will understand what is currently going on in Egypt plus the many Muslim countries all over the world. And if you can understand that then maybe you can understand what is going to happen in Malaysia in time to come.
written by Bryan, July 09, 2013 23:42:10
If it was a clash of ideologies then it can be surmised to have something to do with the fact that Morsi went overboard in trying to Islamized the largely moderate Egyptians imposing Shia laws despite Islam being the state religion. Egypt was even recognised as a secular country before 1980 before they amended their constitution.
So his downfall is perhaps due to over attempts on imposition of the political Islamic idealogy by the Muslim brotherhood.. Adopting the Islamic political system as a force and in governing the way of life can also be a double edged sword even in an Islamic state where 80-90% of the population are muslims..when the people are not prepared to accept it... More so in a nation like Malaysia.. .
Then again it may even have lead to the sentiment that Morsi has betrayed the Egyptian revolution.
Worsening safety for women, breakdowns in the rule of law, crackdowns on cultural activity and police abuse - the Arab Spring wasn't meant to end like this.

Islamists use whatever means to use their religious tenets to dominate and social control not only their own kind but the rest of the society who may not be Muslims. Domination and  Jihad seems entrenched in their psyche. Morsi was slyly trying to convert Egypt into a pure Muslim country and the general public rebelled and disposed of him. He should have reinforced secularism and allow each faith and community to move along side by side.

Religo-state is not like any other ideas of governance – there is a limit to questioning because ultimately its based on faith – not real Because there is ultimately no questioning at some point of religo-governance, its almost a one-way street or the very least, turning back at the very least is devastating.

Here is another more exhaustive insight on why the egyptians are at it again..election rigging disputed legitimacy , besieging the judiciary and constitutional courts , removing the AG,etc etc all too familiar a story..

Keep flies and insects at bay..A tip !

Zip-lock water bags: #1 Says:I tried the zip lock bag and pennies this weekend. I have a horse trailer. The flies were bad while I was camping. I put the baggies with pennies above the door of the LQ. NOT ONE FLY came in the trailer. The horse trailer part had many. Not sure why it works but it does!

#2 Says:Fill a zip lock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the problem area. In my case it was a particular window in my home. It had a slight passage way for insects. Every since I have done that, it has kept flies and wasps away. Some say that wasps and flies mistake the bag for some other insect nest and are threatened.

#3 Says:I swear by the plastic bag of water trick. I have them on porch and basement. We saw these in Northeast Mo. at an Amish grocery store& have used them since. They say it works because a fly sees a reflection& won't come around.

#4 Says:Regarding the science behind zip log bags of water? My research found that the millions of molecules of water presents its own prism effect and given that flies have a lot of eyes, to them it's like a zillion disco balls reflecting light, colors and movement in a dizzying manner. When you figure that flies are prey for many other bugs, animals, birds, etc., they simply won't take the risk of being around that much perceived action. I moved to a rural area and thought these "hillbillies" were just yanking my city boy chain but I tried it and it worked immediately! We went from hundreds of flies to seeing the occasional one, but he didn't hang around long.

Thought his name was Taib.!!

This fat jungle man must be either named Bee Ann or maybe it is Taib..I know for a fact these guys who are Much Too  Fat and really need to go on a diet..or they risk choking on their food fed by unclear origins and contaminated sources !

Fat Malaysian orang utan put on diet

An obese orang utan has been put on a strict diet by Malaysian wildlife authorities after two decades of gorging on junk food handed out by tourists, a report said today.
Jackie reportedly weighs 100 kilograms (16 stone), twice the normal weight of an adult female in the rich jungle habitats of Borneo island.
The 22-year-old ape was relocated more than three months ago by the wildlife department in the state of Sabah - which lies in the northeast of Borneo - because visitors to the Poring forestry park kept feeding her

Najib speaks on BBC interview!

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has said that he will honour a pledge to abolish the sedition act following a hotly contested election in May.
"We will amend the act but we want to keep Malaysia peaceful and harmonious," Mr Najib told BBC World News.
He said that the law was only used against those who undermined stability.
Mr Najib had promised to repeal the sedition law last year along with other security legislation that dates from the British colonial era.
The Malaysian opposition says that the prime minister has used the sedition law to make needless arrests. It says the continuing delay in repealing it proves that Mr Najib is not an "honourable man".

Having taken office in 2009 with pledges of reform, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak  said he now intends to hasten their implementation and see the far-reaching changes come into effect.

Chief among these are the Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and Economic Transformation Programme (ETP) that are intended to address citizens’ concerns about how the country is being run -

Now, Najib said it was time to speed up their delivery.
“For my current term, I will focus on accelerating the process of transforming Malaysia,” Najib told the Financial Times in a London interview yesterday. “We have been given the mandate to ensure the GTP and ETP are fully implemented.”
“I want to prove the point that we can make changes from within. We can transform the government and the economy, as well as democracy in Malaysia,” Najib said in the interview.
Najib acknowledged an “unhealthy social polarisation” in the country.
“The way forward for Malaysia is a set of policies that can be accepted by all Malaysians, and be fair to all,” Najib added.
“If a set of policies satisfies one community but not another, then we will never achieve national consensus.
Malaysia needs to maintain an annual growth of about 6 per cent in order to achieve this target, and has so far remained close to the target.
Of greater concern is the mounting debt levels, both public and private, that could derail the progress.

S'GOR GETS NOD to take over water supply from federal Goverment

S'GOR GETS NOD to take over water supply

This is an interesting development , after Selangor have been so vocal for years to take over and restructuring of the water supply in the state from the federal Goverment , they finally got what they were clamouring for. Now lets see how they will fare...
Meantime if it isn't too premature , we have to grudgingly give credit where credit is due to the Goverment on this matter..They have been dragging their feet pre PRU13 on this issue but now ,something sems to  have clicked..! The dead lock seems to be resolved yet will it benefit Selangorians...and how? Have to wait and see

The federal government has agreed to Selangor acquiring all four water concessionaires in the state.
Mentri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said he has received a letter from Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak agreeing to the deal.
"Selangor is all set to bring the supply of water under its control before the end of the year," Abdul Khalid said.
While he did not disclose figures or terms of the agreement, the Pakatan government, since came into power in 2008, has been clamouring for water to come under the control of the state.
Abdul Khalid told Dr Abd Rani Osman (Meru-PAS) in the state assembly today: "The state and federal governments are working together in drafting the agreement in accordance with the Water Concessionaries Industry Act 2006.
"Under the Act, the federal government has the executive power over any water deal across the peninsular and federal territories."
The Selangor government cited incompetence on the part of the concessionaires as one of the reasons to acquire the companies.
Answering a supplementary question, Abdul Khalid said the state is ready to manage water supply and that a professional management team is already in place

Funny clown court..Why we need revival of higher English standards!

Case to revive English-medium schools

Today, many are  lamenting that the government's greatest mistake was abolishing English-medium schools. They believed that today's low English proficiency in Malaysia was a phenomenon after the abolition of English schools.
Apart from seriously considering support for the teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics in English, the ministry ought to really give serious thought to consider re-introducing English-medium schools. The importance of English in the school curriculum, and the urgency of improving English proficiency among students in this era of globalisation should not be underestimated and under valued..

The fruits of Malaysian policies on  English and Education .

This video demonstrates the results of years of sidelining English in favor of BM in our institutions of academia. Although awfully funny but is also thought provoking at the same time.
And to think the lawyer below  is representing the Goverment for the MACC . To be fair his line of questioning was an attempt to discredit the witness and cast doubts over her credentials , and it may still be understandable that he failed because his command of english was so deplorably funny that no one took him seriously. I do symphatize with his weakness in  English proficiency but not his illogical reasonings to cast doubts. Just cannot suffer fools .
I put forth to you  my case via  the command of English exhibited by our learned DPP who has been a lawyer for 24 years. You decide on whether the standard of English used is in dire straits or not.A typical product of our Goverment's policies and attitudes on the acceptable standards.

On a lighter note, i watch this again at times when i really need a good laff !

FACE PALM.!
See the guy on the bottom left of the screen shot..there are dozens of such moments with statements that can easily qualify for these throughout the cross examination and the line of questioning/ questions  that borders on sheer stupidity ,regardless of whatever language it is in.
making all who are  associated with it look extremely bad.!.

Intentionally or Inadvertently this guy made a mockery of the seriousness of the inquest into TBH's demise.
Glad at least Malaysians have a sense of humour to mock him back.

Selection of funniest comments on this video:
This lawyer dude should just strangle himself since he demonstrated how,coz he runs the risk of being shot by the grammar police and vigilantes seeking out moronic lawyers.
You r not qualified..duh the lady is a doctor! if he is unconscious his body will be heavier..Yup the indisputable law of physics .I m still laffing!

Education Ministry, this is the time to wake up and start bringing  the best of English to a greater heights

And we all wonder why there's criminals out there on the streets. With a prosecution like this, who needs a defence lawyer. How the hell did that lawyer pass the bar exams -.-by drinking loads of shots and bartender passed him with flying colors..that was the bar he came from downing few more before this cross examination

If I ever committed a crime I want this guy to be the prosecution. I'd probably get away with murder.

This video is solid proof on the importance of the english language.

If you think this is bad, imagine the quality of the teachers and professors in our public universities. We were just about to rescue ourselves with the teaching of Math and Science in English, then comes the U-turn by our DPM. We can expect more of this kind of performance in all places. Sigh

He is THE lawyer representing the government?? Wow!

after watching this i feel like strangling myself , switching between unconsciousness and consciousness a couple of times , losing and gaining weight in the process and finally getting thrown off a building .
There's no doubt that TBH killed himself, if this lawyer's the one who interrogated him.

i have to inform you after 3.30pm there is no reason anybody want to harm the DISEASE.?.! ke..ke..ke.

i spend three days to study what you have to said!
i have question, whether you are a lawyer or not?
May be i am younger than you but i already served 24 years as a lawyer...
no...no... she confirm that before falling unconscious while falling down conscious...
if he was unconscious, his body will be heavier...
you already jump down? experience jumping down?
all the four legs...

I feel like *strangulating myself* I'd watch it again and " I'd strangulate myself!!

Pornthip even said " you have to believe the judge....! "

Look on the bright side. if you ever get caught for a crime in Malaysia, don't need to hire a good lawyer. Just hope this fool is your prosecutor! LOL!

At 4:40 and 5:39, the judge and the guy in the middle were probably planning to jump down from a building already. i swear i heard the Judge said "aiyoh" at 4.41!!!!

Did anyone else get the irony? He was questioning her competence in her field of expertise. lol

You are saying at level 14 he was unconscious , suddenly landed he was conscious?
before going down unconscious while landed conscious .?

Unconscious at the building. then unconciously drop down then when hit upon impact he becomes conscious.
SERIOUSLY?

how to speculate something not clear when he talk unclearly to the Dr ?

"I put it to you" that you need to go for english classes..CONTENT IS WORST THAN HIS ENGLISH!

the court should have just done this joker a favor and allowed him to conduct his antics in Bahasa. Then at least he will only make a fool of himself in his line of questioning and save himself the blushes on his kindergarten English. Just wonder whether he is indeed the secret weapon of MACC? Cloud everyone's thinking, including himself of course, and maybe hope the outcome will be what they hope for. God bless Malaysia.

how can a lawyer while questioning a witness to a case, inject his own opinion into the witness' testimony and make believe that is what the witness state? he spent 3 days studying Dr Pornthip's findings and yet he knows nothing about what she is trying to convey?
his claims on how Dr Pornthip is not qualified to perform the autopsy in this country or the university that Dr gradutated from is not recognized in Malaysia are complete bullshit. At least get your point valid before talking it out

but being a DPP, it is  his job is to discredit any witness .....but he only managed to discredit himself

Hakim pun tergelak bila dia sebut "Order"....aiyooo. Kalau macam ini peguam SPRM yang best, tak hairanlah kita masih tak berjaya menghapuskan rasuah!

This video has dozens of face-palm: moments. There's one guy who's sitting in the front in the shots of the MACC lawyers, the guy in the middle, I can't tell if he's laughing or crying

.Dia cakap UMNO english!

oh my god its appalling ........ these are the kind of graduates being churned out of our universities every year and these are the main reason why we are fighting for meritocracy in our country

lawyer in front desk having migrane from listening to this lawyer's crap .... arghhhhhhh lol

Beyond all human comprehension. Better call in MIB we've got an alien lurking in our courts.

OMG this was reaaaalllllllllly painful to watch. How the hell did this buffoon graduate from law school? He is an insult to my profession. *facepalm*

to international audience, please do not assume we malaysian are like that, even most of us wonder how he could pass his primary exam! LOL

this is embarrassing..especially since it's been uploaded here for the whole world to see..broken english is one thing but asking stupid questions totally takes the cake..24 years as a lawyer  and that's the best you can do?..now we're all gonna look like idiots

this lawyer is to fill the national quota.Typical product of Dasar Ekonomi Baru, what to do

the policeman beside the door is thinking "i think i speak better english than him! i should be a lawyer and he should be a policeman"

why is this guy even a lawyer? he should be in the sawah padi talking to himself

Tony Fernandes can start another subsidiary. ' Now Everyone Can Become A Lawyer". From RM0.50

think even if he translates into BM may end up sounding like
" Saya taruh sama engkau, engkau terbaring. (I put it to you, you are lying.)

Code word for UMNO sycophants,"leave the country".

IN case you are not sure what the Goverment is saying . Here are some popular words and phrases used with consistency and their definitions according to the  BN vocabulary.

Commonly used as a tool to divert attention away from the sinister and deplorable antics of
   those in Goverment.

Reconciliation :
According to Malaysian Goverment definition , it is a euphemism in  unrestrained race
bashing and  in attacking and  selective prosecution of the opposition , muzzling free
speech and a middle finger to the people ,because they couldn't get who they voted for.

This means a weapon in Malaysia , preferred by UMNO right wing to use to scare monger and stir up shit to put the fear of losing their highly valued education prospects for their children of the other ethnic communities and also an excuse to champion Malay superiority and rally support to the cause of Lording over other communities in the country in the guise of national unity.

Utusan:
Actually means message in Bahasa Malaysia but in the BN and Malaysian context  , it is a derogatory term referring to gutter tabloid news , fabricated and conjured ,usually with not much essence of truth, professionalism and integrity in news reporting. Sensationalism that belongs in the dustbin. Not good enough to wipe your bottom with , may give you piles coz of the pathogenic
aura of the lies.

Indelible: This means Edible in Malaysian  Election Commision parlance.

Sedition:  A very useful tool  to use against the  opposition and NGOs in the country who disagree with the ruling coalition, and hence they enjoy exclusive monopoly of being on the receiving end. BN has immunity from the implications of the  word .

Leave the country !

Phrase popular among the imbeciles in the BN ruling coalition. Can be construed as a code word of  unwavering disgustingly sycophantic support for UMNO. The ruling  party.

Haze..don't count d chickies yet, It may just make a come back

It ain't over till the  Fat Indon  Lady  stops choking, so keep those masks handy for the hazy days..or start stocking up, we just never know..!

PETALING JAYA: Although the haze seemed to have cleared up, the fight against land clearing and peatland fires is not over, said the chief of an environment organisation.
Global Environment Centre director Faizah Parish expects the haze to worsen as the current drought continues until September.
“The main source of the haze are large scale forest and peatland fires in Riau, Indonesia, and to a lesser extent, Selangor.
“The fires are ongoing but at the moment, the winds are not blowing directly to Malaysia. But we anticipate the haze to be back in a few weeks,” he said here yesterday.
Faizah stressed that to stop the haze, “we have to stop the fires”.
He urged Malaysians and the Government to help by patrolling regularly, especially in Selangor, where there were regular peatland fires and report any land clearing activity.
He added that the non-governmental movement had launched the Stop the Haze Campaign.
“We need 30 to 40 volunteers to patrol certain areas of Selangor that had incidents of peatland fires.
“We hope the volunteers are from areas near the locations such as Raja Musa Forest Reserve, KLIA, and Johan Setia in Klang,” he said.
He added that they also needed about 20 volunteers to spread awareness on how haze occurs and how to prevent it.
Faizah hopes the public and Government would contribute funds to the organisation to help with the patrolling of fire-prone peatlands as well as purchase of equipment and supplies to support community fire prevention and control teams.
“The funds will also go to monitoring activities of forest and oil palm plantations and promoting zero burning,” he said.
