Ingredients

  • 8 large corn tortillas

  • 1 tsp. oil

  • 1 green pepper, chopped

  • 2 small onions, chopped

  • 3 tbsp. chili powder

  • 3/4 tsp. garlic powder

  • 3/4 tsp. onion powder

  • 1 2/3 cup cooked kidney beans

  • 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese

  • 10 3/4 oz. can tomato puree or sauce

  • 2 oz. grated Monterey Jack cheese

Methods/steps
  1. If tortillas are hard to roll up; they may be softened with steam. To steam, place two to three tortillas at a time in a strainer or a piece of foil bent over a bowl like shape. Place them over, not in, boiling water. Cover and steam 2 to 3 minutes, just until softened. Cook onion and green pepper in oil until soft. Drain beans and mash. Add 2 tbsp. of the chili powder, ½ tsp. of the garlic powder, 3 tbsp. of the tomato puree or sauce, and the mashed beans and cottage cheese to the onions and green pepper. Mix well. Place 3 tbsp. of the bean and cheese mixture on each tortilla. Roll tortillas up and place in a baking dish. In a small bowl, combine remainder of tomato puree, remainder of the garlic powder, and all the onion powder. Stir well. Pour the seasoned tomato puree or sauce over the enchiladas, and top with grated cheese. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes, until heated through and cheese on top are melted.

Navajo Fry Bread Recipe
Tortillas aren't the only traditional "container" for tacos. Navajo fry bread is a great taco alternative to hard taco shells.
Ingredients:
  • 4 cups of flour
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 8 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup or more of warm water
  • Vegetable oil
  • Additional flour
Lightly flour a cutting board or clean surface to work your dough.
Mix all of the dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Form a hole in the middle of the mixture and pour in 1 cup of water. Mix the ingredients together using a large spoon to make the dough. You may have to add more water to make the dough work. Don't use an electric mixer.

The 'nun needs a restroom' one

A nun, badly needing to use to the restroom, walked into a local Hooters. The place was hopping with music and loud conversation and every once in a while the lights would turn off. Each time the lights went out, the place would erupt into cheers.

However, when the revellers saw the nun, the room went dead silent. She walked up to the bartender, and asked, 'May I please use the restroom?

The bartender replied, 'OK, but I should warn you that there is a statue of a naked man in there wearing only a fig leaf.'

'Well, in that case, I'll just look the other way,' said the nun.

So the bartender showed the nun to the back of the restaurant.

After a few minutes, she came back out, and the whole place stopped just long enough to give the nun a loud round of applause. She went to the bartender and said, 'Sir, I don't understand. Why did they applaud for me just because I went to the restroom?'

'Well, now they know you're one of us,' said the bartender, 'Would you like a drink?'

'No thank you. But, I still don't understand,' said the puzzled nun.

'You see,' said the bartender, 'every time someone lifts the fig leaf on that statue, the lights go out. Now, how about that drink?

Why Caesar salad is not the emperor's favourite food

The next time you have a cheese or ham sandwich , have a thought on how it came to be known by that name. Actually the term is derived from the creator of the sandwich. John Montagu (1718-1792) who was The 4th Earl of Sandwich. The story goes to detail that he in his youth , he was one with a fiery temperament , a fire raising rebel who had a fierce inclination for gambling .A habitual hard core gambler , he very seldom wanders away from the gambling table even when for something as insignificant as eating.
So whenever he gets hungry  he will  ask for a slice of beef between two pieces of bread for sustenance after which he will just continue his gambling. He was known to have stayed at the gambling table non stop for 24 hours, and that is how the term sandwich came to be in the year 1762.  So the Sandwich Islands in the Pacific ( which is now a part of Hawaii)  was named in his honor and not after the food! So goes the tale of  how the sandwich got its name .
Another popular perception of common folk who knows their history will assume that a Caesar Salad was a dish of preference for the roman emperor, Julius Caesar. That is also far off the mark as impressions go. This tasty culinary masterpiece was only created almost 2,000 years after Caesar’s demise. It was in fact created by Caesar Cardini , who was running Caesar’s Place restaurant in Tijuana ,Mexico..
On the 4th of July 1924, it  turns out that more people had  turned  up than he had anticipated and prepared food for but like any  competent chefs, in the tradition of great kitchen creativity, Caesar  improvised a salad, making do with the ingredients he had, which included lettuce, garlic, olive oil, croutons, cheese and eggs. He added a little bit of his flair for showmanship and tossed the ingredients himself at the diners' tables. The Cardini family took the original recipe in 1948 and trademarked it, and since then have come up with more than a dozen varieties of bottled "Cardini's" salad dressing,so well loved by fans today.
Welsh Rarebit or Welsh Rabbit. A dish of melted cheese and butter mixed with seasoning and poured over buttered toast has nothing to do with rabbit.
Bombay Duck is not a duck at all but a fish. How the origin of the term "Bombay duck" came to be is uncertain. There are suggestions  that, during the days of British Raj, the fish was often transported by rail after drying.
It was noted that the train compartments of the Bombay Dak which happened to be the name of a train, the Bombay Mail, had the smell of the fish wafting all through the deck, thereby  leading the British to refer to the peculiar smell emanating from that train compartment as the "Bombay Dak".
Another misnomer Mock turtle soup  has nothing to do with turtles at all. It refers to an English soup created in the mid-18th century as a cheaper imitation of the costly delicacy of green turtle soup. The ingredients were brains and organ meats such as calf's head, or a calf's foot that imitates closely the texture and flavor of the original's turtle meat.
Another myth worth dispelling is the derivation of "curry” It is not from the army officer, Sir George Curry (1826-1890), who developed a taste for the highly spicy stews of the Indians, and as a consequence, had to distance him from the other officers and dine by himself in the officer's mess.
Curry is actually an anglicized version of the Tamil word “kharii ” which means "gravy" or "sauce" instead of "spices".

Thought provocateurs about Corruption ,the elite and Goverments, methinks!

The megalomaniatic cleptocrat's have zero empathy for humanity.
We need to go back to individual countries based on our original cultures and stop absolutely this idiotic control over humanity. These people are so sick, it makes me sick, and I know because I am  being screwed over by them personally!

Governments over-facilitating the people in exchange for votes and voters using the "this is a democracy" card in exchange for disobeying the law and getting away with it.
Or like Argentina who ran into humongous  debt because of non-democratic governments acting in authoritarian ways completely disregarding the people's will and the country's interests in order to facilitate themselves and calling the whole system a democracy.
Both are dysfunctional democracies. Most frightening is the fact that it is both practiced in Malaysia.
No matter where in the world you go, whatever the continent the place, the poor always seem to suffer at the hands of the rich. Whether through religion, politics, class, always makes people fight against each other and the ones who really benefit are-" only the super rich and powerful".......when will this ever stop, i wonder?

Be aware of what is unfolding before our eyes and perversely disguised by politicians and media. There must be an  insurrection! This nightmare needs to be be stopped! The people must unite against the elitist tyranny who wants to easily take possession of what was earned for so much effort and sacrifice by the people!
Ethics, is just a word, means nothing to politicians!
or it will be A bit like finding out you have STD, and then start wearing condoms. Too little too late.

Things Coke can do besides quenching thirst

Coca Cola (the real one) is not only great to drink, it also has many uses around the home.
This list of uses was tested on ordinary, original Coca Cola, not the diet kind, or any of the variations there are available.
1. Cleaned a burned saucepan by pouring Coke into it and boiling. This takes out all the staining.
2. It’s easy to make a modern photograph look like an old sepia one. Just lightly brush the photograph with Coca Cola and dry quickly. Don’t wet it too much or it will buckle. Photocopied black and white pictures make great looking “antique” prints, if you treat them in the same way. Maps photocopied and treated this way, look fantastic in antique style frames.
3. If you dye your hair and the result is too intense, flat Coca Cola will help to lighten it.
4. Give old coins a soak in Coke. This gives a brilliant shine for collections and decorative items.
5. Pour Coca Cola into your kettle and leave all day. This will remove limescale and leaves it clean inside.
6. A can of Coke poured into the toilet will clean it. The acid in the drink gets to work right away.
7. Make an excellent barbecue sauce by mixing Coke and Ketchup , half and half. Coat chicken, meat, etc with this before cooking. It’s mouthwatering.
8. Flat Coke makes a good hair conditioner. Pour it over your hair, rinse and dry.
9. Put Coke into flat wide dishes in the garden and it will help to rid your plants of slugs. They are attracted by the sweet smell and once they fall in, they can’t get out.
10. Rusty bolts can be loosened by soaking a rag in Coca Cola, and wrapping it around the bolt. Leave for a few hours and it will be easier to move.
11. Clean your jewelery in a glass of Coke. Brush with a toothbrush and rinse well. (Not recommended for valuable items, or those with gem stones in them.)
12. Flat Coca Cola helps to settle upset stomachs. Don’t use fresh, fizzy Coke as this could irritate the condition. (Take the fizz out by adding a little sugar, if you need to.)

Enchanting natural wonder!

365 times tried to make love to you, succeeded 36 times.!

TO MY DEAR WIFE:
During the past year I have tried to make love to you 365 times.
I have succeeded 36 times, which is an average of once every ten days.
The following is a list of why I did not succeed more often
54 times the sheets were clean
17 times it was too late
49 times you were too tired
20 times it was too hot
15 times you pretended to be sleep
22 times you had a headache
17 times you were afraid of waking the baby
16 times you said you were too sore
12 times it was the wrong time of the month
19 times you had to get up early
9 times you said weren't in the mood
7 times you were sunburned
6 times you were watching the late show
5 times you didn't want to mess up your new hairdo
3 times you said the neighbors would hear us
9 times you said your mother would hear us

Of the 36 times I did succeed, the activity was not satisfactory because:

6 times you just lay there
8 times you reminded me there's a crack in the ceiling
4 times you told me to hurry up and get it over with
7 times I had to wake you and tell you I finished
1 time I was afraid I had hurt you because I felt you move
TO MY DEAR HUSBAND:
I think you have things a little confused. Here are the reasons you didn't get more than you did:
5 times you came home drunk and tried to screw the cat
36 times you did not come home at all
21 times you didn't cum
33 times you came too soon
19 times you went soft before you got in
38 times you worked too late
10 times you got cramps in your toes
29 times you had to get up early to play golf
2 times you were in a fight and someone kicked you in the balls
4 times you got it stuck in your zipper
3 times you had a cold and your nose was running
2 times you had a splinter in your finger
20 times you lost the notion after thinking about it all day
6 times you came in your pajamas while reading a dirty book
98 times you were too busy watching TV
Of the times we did get together:
The reason I laid still was because you missed and were screwing the sheets.
I wasn't talking about the crack in the ceiling, what I said was, "Would you prefer me on my back or kneeling?"
The time you felt me move was because you farted and I was trying to breathe.

internet millionaire.!! I wanna be..How to be..Do u wan to be...

How do they do it? Consistently earning millions of dollars online, and what galls me is the fact that after the initial efforts, and the momemtum gets going, these internet millionaires can afford to just sit back a little ,relax and just let the money roll in , most of it run on auto pilot! Annoying to think of especially when it is compared to our own efforts, hundreds of hours, energy and investing money to get returns which are in nickels and dimes in comparison!
What is the difference between these individuals and us,personally i do not believe that whatever it is they are doing we cannot do! Just a bit of smarts and skills which if we try hard enough,i am sure we can emulate their successes if not do better!
But if there is one thing I ve noticed about these self made internet millionaires is that the marjority of them actually own or designed the programs that makes them so filthy rich ,indeed, having a skill as a programmer plus the intimate understanding of what the online community has a demand for and meeting that need,is one of the keys to success!
It is still back to the very basic tried and tested formula of ''supply and demand'' just carried into the cyber environment,so whether it is physical or digital, the premise still works.
So,who wants to be a millionaire online? Well figure out something that will be a hot item,in the immediate cyber community you hang out with, get the message thru to as many as you can,and you are on your way!

Many upstarts wanting to earn online begins with joining PTCs (getting paid to read emails or view adds) but again if looking for serious money earning, unless you are owner of the program, can maybe get some grocery money with these sites.
Affiliate marketing , for internet users looking to earn serious incomes online, thats where the money is.
But it isnt as simple as the countless encounters with adds online stating otherwise. A very good grasp of how to use, where to promote, who to target and what resource to use is crucial in determining success or failure.
  Free advertising..
Free advertisng of whatever you are promoting involves using various programs such as Traffic Exchanges , Safe lists , e mail marketing , social networking sites. Its a question of how to use this reources at your disposal that can make for effective or successful selling .
Its about knowing who your audience are and what may sell. Or if you have an item specific thing to promote, then you must know where your potential leads are, seeking them out to get your message to them..

Earth Quakes caused by mini skirts??

I thought it was George Bush's fault!

A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes.

BEIRUT -- A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes.

Iran is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries, and the cleric's unusual explanation for why the earth shakes follows a prediction by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that a quake is certain to hit Tehran and that many of its 12 million inhabitants should relocate.

"Many women who do not dress modestly ... lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes," Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.

Women in the Islamic Republic are required by law to cover from head to toe, but many, especially the young, ignore some of the more strict codes and wear tight coats and scarves pulled back that show much of the hair.

"What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble?" Sedighi asked during a prayer sermon Friday. "There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam's moral codes."

Seismologists have warned for at least two decades that it is likely the sprawling capital will be struck by a catastrophic quake in the near future.

Some experts have even suggested Iran should move its capital to a less seismically active location. Tehran straddles scores of fault lines, including one more than 50 miles (80 kilometers) long, though it has not suffered a major quake since 1830.

In 2003, a powerful earthquake hit the southern city of Bam, killing 31,000 people — about a quarter of that city's population — and destroying its ancient mud-built citadel.

"A divine authority told me to tell the people to make a general repentance. Why? Because calamities threaten us," said Sedighi, Tehran's acting Friday prayer leader.

Referring to the violence that followed last June's disputed presidential election, he said, "The political earthquake that occurred was a reaction to some of the actions (that took place). And now, if a natural earthquake hits Tehran, no one will be able to confront such a calamity but God's power, only God's power. ... So let's not disappoint God."

The Iranian government and its security forces have been locked in a bloody battle with a large opposition movement that accuses Ahmadinejad of winning last year's vote by fraud.

Ahmadinejad made his quake prediction two weeks ago but said he could not give an exact date. He acknowledged that he could not order all of Tehran's 12 million people to evacuate. "But provisions have to be made. ... At least 5 million should leave Tehran so it is less crowded," the president said.

Minister of Welfare and Social Security Sadeq Mahsooli said prayers and pleas for forgiveness were the best "formulas to repel earthquakes."

"We cannot invent a system that prevents earthquakes, but God has created this system and that is to avoid sins, to pray, to seek forgiveness, pay alms and self-sacrifice," Mahsooli said.

prisoners and prison terms1

Programs for the displaced and misfits and the self perceived rejects of society..reformed drug users or even hard core ex convicts released back into a society after having spent a huge chunk of their lives in relative security and comfort in prison, everything provided for,.to be plunked back into a realistic and materialistic society where the ability to  earn or eke out a living takes priority over all else , that is a daunting challenge to mindsets that have been isolated away from normal society for a while..

.Imagine a person who has spent a better part of say 20 years of his life in prison, for whatever reason ,where routine has become  instinctively normal and things are taken for granted ,no need to think about whats ahead since everyday living is a same monotonous routine , simple daily necessities like breakfast, lunch and dinner always at precisely the same timing , mindsets denied the luxury  of thinking or planning ahead of what to do next , conditioned to accept and follow -  this particular way of life and resigned to their state of mind fully aware of their circumstance, their mindsets, probably still maintains a vision of their world to the time of their arrest and incarceration,20 years ago,and since then the only world they have been living in  is a highly volatile one ,fraught with undertones of danger, violence ,mistrust and perversions where normalcy is to develop a mindset of  survival of the fittest instincts ,conditioning oneself never to show weaknesses or risk being labelled weak and hence trampled upon without mercy and to train own mind to do the trampling of the frail and violently intimidate for own gain ,a society with a scant regard or respect for human lives, and the atmosphere is akin to living on the edge of a sharp blade, easily exploding  into murderous rages or sprees of violence which bloodshed is like just another day at the office.

And this little society of violence, confined in a tiny remote corner somewhere with high  walls to contain the tense and  explosively violent and dangerous environment where individuals immersed in this atmosphere  cannot choose to walk away or ignore and hope to be  psychologically unscathed by it all.

Likely ,that a person who has undergone a 20 year sentence exposed constantly to this environment will definitely have absorbed in some of the the tense razor sharp vicious  energy into their mindsets and the behaviour  conditioning environment where the mind has been trained to be  constantly  suspicious and alert , because of the in most cases,a perceived absence of morals and loyalty,or principles, meaningless values in a dog eat dog world.

Many ex cons retain that air of mistrust and natural defensive posturing , unable to trust but always ready to pounce with  predatorial instincts honed by years of practice in an environment where weakness is an invitation to be victimised by brutality , minds conditioned from years of developing survival  instincts to bear the harshness and repel or  thwart efforts to be trod on, upon their eventual release from the walls of intensely tight and charged  atmosphere ,the freedom granted and gained is more only  the physical sense, their physical bodies may be free of routines imposed on them, which they must conform to no longer.

And they may have gained freedom of movement and free choice to decide on their next actions but .Mentally they are still trapped  in the confines of their minds, prison mentality , It will take a longer time for the released ex con to be really free in the true sense of the word, from the mental constraints that lingers in their minds, tougher ones able to shake it off eventually but the weaker ones will still be imprisoned by their conditioning and mindsets.!.

Which probably explains the high percentage of ex cons intentionally comitting crimes so as to return to that environment which they are more familiar with and actually feel safer in.Because they know the system well enough to know how to deal with it and live in it free of the system they dont know how to survive in, not having to deal with the stresses of the ordinary world and worries of living.
These are individuals that no longer know how to get along with other people, considering themselves rejects unable to find their niche and joy of merely existing in a free world.

IN these alternate realms, located in hundreds of pockets of tiny remote corners around the world, all having the common feature of having high walls and fencing that invariably locks in and retains the atmospheres of fear and intimidation, separating from common people, the misfits , rejects, perverts, the murderously violent, the violently aggresive ,the criminally insane and all in between.! If there is a thing in common among prison populations around the world, it is the often violent and brutal quests to get respect.!

Respect is a precious currency earned from viciousness in dealings with fellow mates of same imprisoned world.Reputation  has as much clout as cold hard cash. Fear and an  ability to instill or inflict it on another lesser mortal in the restricted environment, with the  reminder of just how fragile and worthless life is and how easy it is to snatch it away from another, threatening  one with bodily harm or even a hint as to suggested pain can manipulate many lesser  persons of weaker dispositions to a horrified state, literally wetting their pants fearful of perceived pain or lost of limb or life .

Situations which is time and again used or abused to get what is demanded! Forceful coercion and  persuasions from threats or intimidations are commonplace, whether to get intoxicating liquids  or mind altering substances or forcibly satisfy perverted lusts..

Basest of human instincts can manifest itself if power is acknowledged or fearfully given.Strangely many of these powerful individuals in the confined environment turns out that their alternate personality whilst they were free men were nothing like the insanely sadistic men they have becomed.Themselves mostly low profile criminals. Its like there are people with an ability to change their personalities easily, for when they are eventually released back into mainstream society, they just snap back to their old selves, losing the sadistic nature and having the gentlest of personalities albeit with a criminal element ever present.! Short timers, sentences ranging from 2 to 5 year terms.

Its those individuals that have spent a big chunk of their adult lives inside prison, 20 years and plus that have more problems.
Iindividuals separated from the mainstream consciousness of society and the norms to be thrown back into the mix can be traumatic and unsettling to any person no matter how tough they may seem to be mentally.

Changes of the environment in 20 years to a person whose perceptions of whats normal and ordinary, dates back ten years in which during that time ,life has moved on, changes seeped in unnoticeably , ordinary folk easily adapting to the changes progressively as the events occur., blending in and learning to cope or take advantage of the changes as they come, improving their own circumstance and many will have settled down to another lifestyle.

But  to the people whose ordinary lives was completely uprooted and transformed into a strict regime , they  could very well find themselves trapped in a time bubble dating back 20 years when society as they remember it, has become as alien as a foreign country, which can be tremendously drastic, and triggers off high angst in that particular individual,so much so that ,they may fail to assimilate back to what would be perceived as normal after a vacuum of the years spent in prison.

Aphrodisiac King of fruits or Stink!

Durian is large spiky fruit with a sulfuric smell. Almost everyone finds this fruit either repulsive or addictive. Few fall in between. Durian is rare in that it is a significant source of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins.
In Thailand, Durian is banned from many public areas because of the smell. Thailand's Ministry of Health warns against eating more than two sections of durian per day, as people have occasionally been known to die from excessive durian intake. People are killed every year by durians falling from trees.
You can find durians at your local South East Asian market during certain periods when its in season. A typical durian has sections of fruit. When it is ripe, it has a pungent aroma and the flesh has a soft gooey texture, ranging fron sweet to bitter or cheese like taste.
A very lucrative industry has sprouted from the durian trade with fruit growers experimenting with various strains and coming out with the best fruits,to a point where certain strains are considered delicacies and command high prices on the market Another novelty about the fruit is that they cannot be plucked off the tree but  pickers must wait for the fruit to break  off from its stem and drop to the ground which it does only when ripe..And then ,there is only a period of 12 - 24 hours depending on the climate, when it is considered ripe and tasty and consumed . Then eventually  the spiky skin starts to crack, and air seeps into the fruit, flavour is corrupted, and  the fruit is no longer acceptable and is worthless as a delicious delicacy to be savoured.

Contains high levels of the amino acid tryptophan, known to alleviate anxiety, depression, and insomnia, and create feelings of euphoria, by raising levels of serotonin in the brain.

A good muscle builder. Contains high levels of soft proteins.
Asian legends say that durian is a powerful aphrodisiac!

I can personally attest  that the statement is neither a legend nor a myth , but holds a very pungent truth! And it can affect both genders, A very organic Viagra that nature has created , if you have had a feast of durians , the following hours will, if you got lucky will be a very  gratifying or satisfactory experience with a partner or a very ackward and potentially embarassing period where you may have to constantly shift positions,if you are seated or walk funny , as if you have got a sore bum or sprained muscle in your thigh! ESpecially so if you are a guy!
Yup,talk about stubborn , no matter how much breath exercise or focusing on other objects, nor even staring at a photograph of Eddie Murphy in drag (remember the Flubber movie and the obese grandma) doesnt even budge it's effects. Chances are if you remember that movie, your mind will uncontrollably shift to thinking of Janet Jackson who plays the love interest.!
Stinky fruit ? Smells like bad cheese , open sewer , rotting garbage or disgustingly described as like blocked public toilet! Yuck..! These are but some of the descriptions i have encountered by people not familiar with the fruit. Most stop dead in their tracks soon as they get a whiff of the pungent aroma and does a 180 without even knowing the source of the smell.!

This is no exaggeration , I have seen various reactions by westerners just visiting the tropics , never fails to amuse me to observe the expressions on their faces, horrified , disgust , confused , annoyed , some go to the extent of holding their breath as long as they can till their lungs are close to rupturing, faces turning blue while they attempt to make a hasty getaway as far as possible from whatever  the source of the smell is from.!
To be fair , there are those adventurous in spirit ,despite the smell ,actually brave the tasting of the fleshy fruit, some surprisingly acquiring a taste for it,most swear never to repeat the experience again.!
With Durian, you either love it or disgusted with it,very hard to be in middle ground, yet there are those who tolerate the smell but enjoy the taste and vice versa, in many ways, this fruit is like wine, many variations which to a true connoiseur can pick out and discern  the quality and taste by merely smelling and tapping on the skin.

Its also a dangerous fruit , if ingested together with a large dose of alcohol ,can be lethal. A potent fruit, but by itself ,to fans is absolutely delicious and smells heavenly. Apart from the side benefits.
Looks can be deceiving and on eyes of the beholder,1st impression of the tough exterior spiky skin ,gives it a unsavoury
looking image, yet its crown as The King of Fruits in SE Asian area has remained unchallenged and unlikely to be dislodged.
for the multiple obvious reasons, mainly as ''THE Enhancer disguised in a fruit.
The durian tree mainly grows in forested areas and abundant in many remote villages and native jungle encampments, where it is noticed , that men ,grandparents in their 60s are still fathering  children prolifically, extended family members numbering in the dozens, putting to shame city dwellers half their age,who probably cant get it on as often as they d like.
stamina and endurance capacity at 50% the level of their golden aged conterparts in the remote areas.
Mother Nature does store many of her secret treasures in her garden, and only reveals it to them  who live of her resources and tending it with loving care. The durian fruit is but one little part of so many healing treasures in the forest which only those with knowledge can access and reap the rewards. So many types of herbs and roots that are not only aphrodisiacs but also cures many ailments and  have been used for centuries.

Police brutality ,the good old days, Malaysian style, standards apply.

Thats how it used to work in this country. Different standards for different folks , all in the name of law and order-.Even amongst criminals , standards apply ,you know , i.e. let's say you were a "datuk" or a VVIP ( never mind the fact that you kud be a lord in the underworld) but you have millions to throw so can easily afford to buy a title with the fortune u have and even  a permit for a firearm, afterall it is a dangerous occupation you are  in ,you do need to protect yourself) then one day you discover someone stealing from you , amount is paltry but principle of the thing is heavy, can't afford to lose face, so shoot the thief in cold blood , as a message you r not to be messed with , Yup , shoot 1st , cos this is malaysia after all , murder ,cold blooded or otherwise can be dealt with to one's favour , if you know how to work the system ?
(above is a loose  reference to actual incident in KL where a Chinese lad was shot by his employer Datuk for theft)

Which brings to mind another point . Now if you were a nobody but in possesion of a firearm, without a permit for whatever reason , criminal or not (it's another issue ) back to the hypothesis , you get busted .
Well ,guess how the interrogation will go with you !

As for the datuk above , he 'd probaly be invited to the station to record his statement , tea or coffee will be served with goreng-goreng snacks,of course , more convenient if interrogation is done at IO's office, has air conditioning, or datuk isn't going to be very cooperative ,being hot and uncomfortable.

Then there is the alternative method of interrogation ,which will likely be applied on the former .
Apart from the initial " physical " introduction to what's gonna come for the next 7 days ,( section 117 of criminal code allows a max period of 7 days detention for investigation by police before they decide on what to charge the perp ) there are few options to choose from to conduct an "interview" by the PDRM,

Let's see , I've heard about the 'sittin on a iceblock stark naked" or "phonebook technic" and am told is quite effective in many instances,

Have been told about "using the rotan or thick rubber rod on the soles of the feet while handcuffed and suspended by a pole inserted under your knees ,above your cuffed hands which of course are hugging both your feet . . and in extreme stubborn cases "rubber band on testes,perhaps.." OUCH...!!" WEll, they do have 14 days to decide how to conduct the investigation , HMMMM ,all designed to not leave obvious marks of the treatment ,

B.t.w depends on your grade ,ya.? Not everybody qualifies to receive such specialized service , mainly reserved for the uneducated , illiterate , skint , illegal alien or those who dont have connections to anybody influential. These are the ones who wont have any repercussions to deal with or answerable to, no matter what.
Safe , as it were.to inflict as you please , !

Surprisingly , it is a fairly accurate assumption . Marjority of those who received the more specialized treatment are from the criminalized sector therefore most don't think about justice, they just want it to end, they will confess to anything the cops want them to during the sessions..hoping
it will shorten the process...Sadly ,most of them just takes the dish whereas others who have been thru it before just take it for granted that it comes with the territory and just accepts it ,they know exactly what to expect and grit teeth and takes it as it is.

Some of them even know about basic rights and that those rights are being trampled on yet they just don't know how to or are reluctant to air the grievances, knowing even if they do , most won't proceed far.
To be fair , sometimes vicious robbers or rapist or violent criminals
incriminate themselves during the interogations and the police are to be commended for making streets slightly safer. So the million dollar question will be,  can the extreme methods be justified by that?

All these years of applying the methods ,one wonders , has anything changed.? Surely by now
they would have gathered enough experience through constant repetition of the tecnics to gradually refine it into a art or skill or formulated a more controlled method to this madness.
Hit and run ,miss ,trial and error ,etc.would have prompted recognizance of shortcomings , weaknesses and strengths of the methods employed.

Yet , seems they have lost direction .The current generation of top ranking officers seems to have lost the art of civilized torture.( If there is such a thing). There are lines that should be drawn and never crossed when it comes to dealing with suspects in custody.

The skill of subtle restraint doesn't exist to the current batch of cops. What there is , a bunch of barbaric , sadistic lunatics who will bash anything that comes their way just because they can. Not so much as to extract information but more to make a good impression on their superiors that they are a mean tough s.o.b.
So that they will be considered for a promotion in rank when time comes.
A lot of these low ranking police personnel are actually from similar backgrounds, some of them running with the gangsters before joining the ranks so it isn't hard to see why they behave as they do. Same cultural mindset of the criminals or gangsters they rough up ,the "taiko" mentality.
More alarming is that they may influence the other more gentile and decent  of our boys in blue to act as they do , thinking that , it is the most efficient way of getting results. And that is how it has always been done by the big boys.

And   sad to say , even the higher ranked officers , supposedly to be of a better more educated  and civilized mindset , because of a higher education, trained in the police academy to inculcate a better moral fibre and discipline , to be leaders.
But the fact is , they are the main acccomplices , just by tacit ignorance , as if the sadistic barbarism of their subordinates is condoned ,they seem to be encouraging the acts.
They are the main  culprits . They should be shot !

Horrifyingly in Malaysia ,this sickening state of affair seems to go up all the way along the chain of command.
It just takes one person (the head honcho) to make an executive decision to revamp and it will get filtered down as long as the top dog shows full commitment and make examples of some really bad apples as a deterrent.

Poor unfortunate M. Kugan and Dharmendran weren't  the only persons actually to have paid such a high price for their alleged involvement in criminal activities.
If we remember the "maybank incident "number of years ago . Another individual was also alleged to have been tortured to death in detention, undergoing interrogation , due to the intense pressure from the public and establishment to solve the crime.

Can you imagine , Malaysian police , at a point not long ago, used to be acknowledged as one of the more efficient forces in the world , from their high percentage of crime solving in the country .
Under Tan Sri Rahim Noor ,who expertly manuevered the force away from the scandals of corruption , evaded controversy and concentrated on policing the country. Its isn't that ,there was no corruption or abuse and excesses in the force ( this was era of Mahathirism ), no difference then and now , just done very low profile that not many made a fuss over. All were cleverly diverted to other issues.

Point being , in spite of , you have to admit , efficiency was there. The game of cops and robbers was played effectively and more importantly , many undesirable criminal elements of society that could possibly put everyday law abiding citizens in harms way, was removed.

Looking back , it actually felt safer then ,in comparison to now,  the police were actually policing the streets rather than being used as a tentacle to silence dissent and intimidate the innocents,  law abiding citizens didn't feel intimidated or worried about their basic rights being infringed, or terrified of being a victim to crime in the streets and at their homes. Crooks actually felt fear and
respect for the cops.Which in those days had the impression of being a non political
institution.
But then of course , these was during the infancy period of the internet in Malaysia..Blogs and You Tube and other media did not have as much impact on the mood of things as they do now.
